Small Group Workout Registration

Gatorball Baseball Academy offers competitive travel teams, 13U thru 18U. We are looking for serious baseball players – willing to train hard, do things the right way, and compete with and against the top talent in the country.

We are approaching this summer season with flexibility in mind. Given the limitations and uncertainty in DC, along with a wide range of individual family needs/travel, we will operate small group workouts throughout the week at Fort Reno, with an eye towards intrasquad games, formal games & tournament play when local governments allow. With this uncertainty, we are not requesting a single sum team fee from families this summer. Instead, we are asking for weekly team fees. These fees will remain static throughout the summer, whether playing in Florida or DC, whether we are operating small group workouts or traveling to a tournament in August. We are striving to offer a comprehensive schedule through August, engaging with our players on the field 4-5 times per week. The summer program will include a number of Virtual/Zoom classes. Cooking With Coaches will continue on Wednesday nights, along with other items that we’ve found to have a positive impact on our players this spring.

All Gatorball players will receive jerseys, short sleeve shirt, shorts, pants, belts, socks, and hat.

At our Fort Reno/DC location, the following COVID precautions are in place. All players must adhere to the below guidelines. Disinfectant, sanitizer, and other cleaning supplies are available at all times on-site.

– contactless temperature check before each workout
– player equipment kept in designated areas, >6 feet apart
– no use of dugouts
– players/coaches must remain at least 6 feet apart at all times
– players/coaches must sanitize hands upon arrival and departure
– no shared equipment
– no shared matter bottles. We provide ice water. Each player must bring their own water bottle.

The cost of the summer season is $125/week. We operate under the Foggy Bottom Youth Baseball Foundation as a 501C3 non-profit organization. We do not turn away players due to the inability to pay, and ask that families pay what they can afford. 

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

    I acknowledge that I have chosen to enroll my child in Foggy Bottom Youth Baseball Foundation/Gatorball Baseball Academy and that this activity may expose them to risks, known and unknown, or personal injury that could be painful, permanently disfiguring or debilitating and fatal. I recognize and accept the exposure and freely assume these risks and their consequences, which may also include potential for property loss or damage. It is my intention by this instrument to exempt Foggy Bottom Youth Baseball Foundation/Gatorball Baseball Academy, instructors, or employees from liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death, whether or not caused by negligence occurring to my child arising as a result of engaging in Foggy Bottom Youth Baseball Foundation/Gatorball Baseball Academy or any activities incidental there to or however the same may occur. I acknowledge that we currently carry medical insurance. I give my consent for my child to receive emergency medical treatment on the event of injury or illness and agree to be responsible for all costs associated with their transportation and treatment. 1. The risk of injury and/or illness from the activities involved in the program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; 2. The risk to have contact with individuals, who have been exposed to and/or have been diagnosed with one or more communicable diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19 or other medical conditions, diseases, or maladies does exist, and it is impossible to eliminate the risk that I could be exposed to and/or become infected through contact with or close proximity with an individual with a communicable disease; 3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and 4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOGGY BOTTOM YOUTH BASEBALL FOUNDATION/GATORBALL, their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of the premises used to conduct the event ("Releasees"), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. 5. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, BEFORE ACKNOWLEDGING THE CHECKBOX BELOW, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY AGREEING TO IT ON MY OWN BEHALF OR ON BEHALF OF THE YOUTH PARTICIPANT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS GUARDIAN ACCOUNT, AND I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BY ADULT PARTICIPANT: By acknowledging and signing in the Adult Participant section below, I agree and verify the following: 1) I consent and agree to assume the risks of participation in these programs; and 2) that I specifically agree to the release as provided herein of all the Releasees, and, for myself, my heirs, assigns and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to my involvement or participation in these programs EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. ACKNOWLEDGMENT BY PARENTS AND/OR LEGAL GUARDIANS OF YOUTH PARTICIPANTS: By acknowledging and agreeing signing in the Youth Participants Participant section below, I agree to and verify the following: 1) I am the parent or legal guardian for the youth participant named below, 2) that the date of birth of the youth participant associated with this guardian account is correct, 3) that as parent/legal guardian with legal responsibility for this youth participant, I consent and agree to assume the risks of his/her participation in these programs; and 4) that I specifically agree to his/her release as provided herein of all the Releasees, and, for myself, my heirs, assigns and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify the Releasees from any and all liabilities incident to this youth participant's involvement or participation in these programs as provided above EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.
